Educational building blocks: How Minecraft is Used in Classrooms


Here's an excellent article by Ars Technica talking about how a computing teacher has decided to use Minecraft to teach in a new and exciting way. Here's the teacher's blog (The link might not work at school because it's a tumblr blog) . I myself think Minecraft is an amazing platform to teach in because it's so simple yet so open-ended. It has numerous possibilities; for example, using it to teach students logic and code. A man built a 16-bit computer inside Minecraft! Heads up Mr. Wells, you have some competition!

    Since I've got this game I've learnt so much (+ learned to hate)about terminal and servers trying to make my own its not funny!
