P1 CIE IGCSE ICT

Last lesson you started work on Section 4 of the Theory "Networks". I'll go through this theory later in the term. Today we will introduce the basic principles of Databases and discuss why knowing about them is so important and potentially profitable.

P2 & P3 CIE AS Computing

Run through the "challenge" from yesterday. A review of why functions are used. You need to come up with a King's related scenario and create a simple VB form that uses a function to return some sort of answer or result.
P5 NCEA Level 1 Computing
We'll run through the File Threats you "researched" yesterday.

P6 CIE A2 Computing

One scheduled week to go before your system is in its first draft, i.e. ready for testing. You have the technical tests (Following a plan you have already designed) to run such as confirming the relationships are working and the validation rules kick in if data's not entered correctly, but you also have a phase of user testing, which doesn't have to be done by your client but anyone who is new to the system and not technically minded (Beta testing).
